e-Arrival vs e-Visa
The e-Arrival card and an e-Visa serve different purposes. Cambodia's e-Arrival combines the information previously collected on paper immigration, health and customs forms. It is free to complete through the official government channel, but it does not grant a visa. A visa is still required for entry.
For a US visitor, the useful distinction is between permission to seek entry and the declaration used on arrival. Completing the arrival card does not resolve your visa requirement; obtaining a visa does not complete the arrival card. Who needs to complete it
Cambodia's immigration authority says all travelers must complete e-Arrival, including those who have already been granted a visa. If you are flying from the US with an e-Visa in hand, you should still plan to submit the arrival declaration before you travel.
Treat the two documents as separate parts of your preparation: keep your visa information ready for the entry process, and keep the e-Arrival QR code available for arrival.
When and where to submit
Submit the e-Arrival within the seven days before you arrive in Cambodia. The official form is at arrival.gov.kh, and filing there is free. Using that window lets you provide your arrival information close to the trip, after your travel plans are settled.
Once you have submitted the form, take a screenshot or download its QR code before leaving the site; you may also print it. Save it somewhere you can reach during your journey. Check the official portal again before travel for the current form and any arrival-point information relevant to your itinerary.
