For e-Tourist and e-Business visa, eligible applicants may apply online minimum 4 days in advance of the date of arrival.
The e-Visa fee must be paid at least 4 days before the expected date of travel — otherwise the application will not be processed.
For 30-day e-Tourist visas, the portal FAQ also notes you may apply up to 120 days before travel (still respecting the 4-day minimum before arrival). That window lets you apply early while still meeting the 4-day minimum before arrival.
What happens after you pay
After you submit the application and pay on the official portal, you will be intimated about your visa status (Granted or Rejected) on the email address you provided.
