- Up to two accompanying family members or companions, each with a separate Medical Attendant eVisa.
Basic eligibility

- You have a return or onward ticket and sufficient funds for your stay.
- Each traveler has a separate passport and application.
Choose another visa category if your main purpose is tourism, business, employment, or study. YOUR QUESTIONS
India Medical eVisa FAQs
How long is the India Medical eVisa valid?
The Medical eVisa is valid for 365 days from your first arrival in India and permits multiple entries. Check the dates and conditions shown on your granted ETA and passport endorsement.
When should I apply?
You may apply from 120 days before your proposed arrival date. The Indian government requires Medical eVisa applications to be submitted at least four days before arrival. Apply earlier when possible so there is time to correct information or replace an unsuitable document.
Can someone travel with me for support?
Yes. Up to two family members or companions may receive Medical Attendant eVisas against one Medical eVisa. Each attendant needs a separate passport, visa application, and e-Arrival Card.
What does the hospital letter need to show?
The hospital letter must be on the Indian hospital's letterhead and include the patient's name, nationality, passport number, and expected or tentative admission or treatment date.
What is an India ETA?
ETA stands for Electronic Travel Authorization. It is the eVisa approval document sent after the Indian government grants the application. Print a copy and carry it with the passport used for the application.
Can the Medical eVisa be extended or converted?
India eVisas are generally nonextendable and nonconvertible. Choose the appropriate visa category and confirm that its validity covers your treatment plan before applying.
What does Express Service change?
Express Service prioritizes our review, preparation, and submission once your information and documents are complete. It does not change Indian government processing or guarantee an earlier decision.
Do I have to use My E Visa?
No. You may apply directly through the official Indian government website. My E Visa is a private, paid service for travelers who want help preparing, checking, and submitting an application.
Where can I check the final cost?
The online application shows the total and a breakdown before payment. Your final price depends on the selected service tier and any optional additions.
